Barbara I. (Wagner) Townson

Pawtucket - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Ida Wagner Townson of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Barbara passed away on January 19, 2023 at the age of 85 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

She was born on April 30, 1937 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to William E. Wagner and Louise A. Berndt Wagner. She was the loving wife to Robert Edwin Townson, to whom she married on March 24, 1965 in Attleboro, Massachusetts; and was the mother to William Robert Townson and his wife Linda Brookey Townson, of Celina, Texas. She was Gram-e to Graham Dorman Townson and William Thatcher Townson, both of Texas.

In addition to her son and grandsons, she is survived by two sisters, Grace P.M. Wagner St. Pierre of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Anne Marie Wagner Leroux of Attleboro, Massachusetts; and one brother William E. Wagner and wife Judith M. Motta Wagner of Plymouth, Massachusetts. She was loved and cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her sister Ruth L. Wagner Allen and her husband Frank A. Allen, her brother Frederick W. Wagner and his wife Emma N. Long Wagner, and her brother Robert R. Wagner and his wife Alice Hermiz Wagner.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, Rhode Island.
