Audrey Templeton Obituary

Pawtucket - Audrey V. Templeton, 89, of Pawtucket and East Matunuck, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of Harry Templeton, Jr. with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage. Audrey was a 75 year member of the Smithfield Avenue Congregational Church, where she met, and later married Harry in 1956. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva (Barker) Berry.

She also worked in the school lunch program at Nathanael Greene Elementary School. Audrey retired as the Assistant Director of the Leon Mathieu Senior Center.

Spending time with her family was her greatest joy.  In her early years, she enjoyed square dancing, sewing, and singing in the church choir and at weddings.  Audrey was also a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls.

All through her life, she spent time in the garden, doing needlepoint, reading, traveling the country, spending summers in East Matunuck, cheering on her New England Patriots, and collecting Rhode Island Lighthouses.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Debra Foisy, and her husband Stephen, of Seekonk, MA; one son, Richard Templeton, and his wife Jennifer, of Wakefield, RI; one sister, Dorothy Kay of California; one brother, David Berry of Arizona; four grandchildren, Lauren Foisy, and her husband James Rengstl, of Pelham, NY; Evan Foisy, and his wife Cherilyn, of Medford, NY; Kyle Templeton and Corey Templeton, both of Wakefield; and one great grandson, Grayson Rengstl.
