Arthur Ricard Obituary

Lincoln – Arthur A. Ricard, 90, of Manville passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville.

   Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Leonidas and Helen (Dextraze) Ricard, he had lived in Manville all of his life.

   Mr. Ricard worked at the Whitin Machine Works for many years, and was the co-owner of R & R Exteriors before retiring in 2001.

   He attended Mount St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket.

   Mr. Ricard was a lifelong member of the Manville Sportsmen’s Rod & Gun Club, a lifelong member of Woonsocket Elks Lodge # 850, and a lifelong member of Cercle Laurier. He was also a member of the Italian Workingman’s Club and the Enrico Caruso Club.

   He was an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots.

   He is survived by two daughters, Nancy R. Gould and her husband Brian of Cumberland, and Diane H. Paquet of Miami, FL; one son, Arthur R. “Ricky” Ricard of Woonsocket; one brother, Norman Ricard of Manville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his former wife, Jeannine (Brunette) Ricard of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Maurice Ricard.

   The family would like to especially thank Hope Hospice and The Holiday Retirement Home for their extraordinary care of Mr. Ricard.

   His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. His burial will be private in St. James Cemetery, Manville.

   Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
