Armand Lussier Obituary

***SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2026***

Lincoln - Armand A. Lussier, 79, of Lincoln, died Thursday, February 19, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Marion (Munson) Lussier.

Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Oscar and Alvena Lussier (Beauregard), he had resided in the Albion section of Lincoln for the past forty years.

Mr. Lussier graduated from Bryant University and had a career in metallurgical engineering for several companies throughout Rhode Island and Connecticut. He spent the last ten years of his career pursuing a new love as a middle school science teacher in Lincoln. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, known as the Walking Dead. He also served as a fire arms instructor at Parris Island. As a result of his commendable service, Sergeant Lussier earned a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and a Rifle Expert Badge.

He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Lussier and her companion Jesse Southers, of Petaluma, CA; two sons, Alan Barnes, Esquire and his wife Celeste, of Johnston, and Dr. Michael Barnes and his wife Susan, of Glocester; one brother, Edmund Lussier and his companion Dianne Denault of Cumberland; five grandchildren, Jonathan Barnes, Julia Barnes, Alexander Morakinyo-Barnes, Sebastian Barnes and Randall Burke; and three great grandchildren, Zakai Morakinyo-Barnes, Jasper Barnes and Mallory Barnes. He was proud of, loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and took great pleasure watching them grow and mature.

Armand was a loving husband and father who led by example with his head and his heart. He was quiet, soft-spoken, respectful, patient, kind, and loyal to his family and friends and could always be counted on to help physically, mentally, or spiritually. He enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling (he and his late wife went on more than 50 cruises), nature, and the quite things in life. He cared for his late wife during her long-illness and kept her in his heart until he could join her again. Through his words and his deeds he provided a great example of what it means to a man and a father and a powerful model for his sons and others to emulate.
