Cumberland - Annette J. (Guillemette) Boivin, 83, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul B. Boivin, Jr.
Born in Swansea, MA, a daughter of the late Felix and Maria L. (Paquette) Guillemette, she had resided in Lincoln, RI for many years, as well as Middleburg and Bradenton, FL, moving to Cumberland, RI in 2017.
Mrs. Boivin was a graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island School of Nursing, and worked as a licensed practical nurse at The Friendly Home, Woonsocket, RI before retiring.
Annette loved to care for dogs, including her beloved Benji. She was known to rescue older dogs and care for them in the later stages of their lives.
She is survived by one son, Edward Boivin, and his wife Michelle, of Lincoln, RI; one daughter, Mary Winn, and her husband Curtis, of Attleboro, MA; two sisters, Theresa Charron, and her husband Richard, of Marathon, FL, and Madeline Sanocki of Orange Park, FL; two brothers, Gerard Guillemette, and his wife Yvette, of West Warwick, RI, and Ludger "Skippy" Guillemette, and his wife Lorraine of Vermont; two grandchildren, Jared Winn and Julia Winn; her sister-in-law Diane Guillemette of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Guillemette, George Guillemette, Louis Guillemette, Lawrence Guillemette, Gertrude Blais, and Felix Guillemette, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion, RI. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A private burial will take place in Saint Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, Warren, RI.
