Lincoln - On June 19, 2024, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Ann Frances (Pellegrino) Dupuis, passed into heaven at the age of 81 with her family right by her side. Ann was the treasured mother to sons Ernie Dupuis III, of Lincoln, RI, and Bradford Dupuis, of Hooksett, NH, dear mother-in-law to Jennifer Dupuis, and adoring grandmother to Brody and Darby Dupuis.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on February 15, 1943, to the late Angelo and Frances (Malpino) Pellegrino, Ann was the second oldest of five children, and proudly worked as a lab technician for 54 years. She was a calm and steady hand for doctors and patients, applying her special brand of spunk and kindness to ensure her patients felt cared for and safe. Even as she was considered among the best in Rhode Island in her profession, Ann was most proud of her family and entirely devoted to her role as mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Small but mighty, Ann had a fiery forehand on the tennis court, was a devout Yankees, Bruins and Patriots fan, high school cheerleading coach, and was the loudest voice in the stands at her sons' and grandchildren's games.
Ann never missed a party, event, or special occasion, bringing platters of food, good conversation, and easy laughter everywhere she went. Her nieces and nephews grew up with Auntie Ann's exuberant spirit, boisterous laugh, and constant presence. As a Gram, there was nothing Ann wouldn't try, even tossing balls in the yard with Brody, or kicking a soccer ball with Darby. If either had a game within a three-hundred-mile radius, Gram hopped in the car and showed up every time.
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald and Peter Pellegrino, Ann is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Hennessey, and brother-in-law, Richard Hennessey, of Smithfield, RI, and Mary Jane Recore, and brother-in-law, Raymond Recore, of Millville, MA, her ex-husband, Ernest Dupuis Jr. of Rehoboth, MA, goddaughters Barbara Ruggieri of North Kingstown, RI, Katie Hennessey of Smithfield, RI and Amy Harpin of Millville, MA, and many more nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Please gather with us to remember Ann with visitation on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, RI.
