Obituary

Cumberland - Allenson C. Steen, 93, formerly of Cumberland, died Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.  He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Guyot) Steen and the late Alice (Johnson) Steen, and the father of the late Stephen Steen.

Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Edith (Allenson) Steen, he had lived in Cumberland for many years.

Mr. Steen was a landscaper and swimming pool installer for many years.  He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, and a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War.

He is survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-inl-law, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please perform a random act of kindness in Al’s memory, or make a contribution to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, R.I. 02915.  For directions and guest book, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.
