Lincoln - Albert J. Tycks, Jr., 80, of Lincoln died Friday, May 16, 2025 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Gaiga) Tycks.
Born in Blackstone, Mass., a son of the late Albert J. and Theodora (Soltys) Tycks, he had resided in Lincoln for the past forty-eight years, and after retirement he wintered in Naples, Florida.
Mr. Tycks graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1968, and embarked on a career as a licensed registered pharmacist in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida. His last employment was at Eleanor Slater Hospital, Cranston, where he worked for many years retiring in 2008.
Al was the past chairman, and member of the Blackstone Board of Health early in his career. He was a past president of the Polish National Alliance and also of the Polish Club of Blackstone, Mass, and served on the Town of Lincoln Sewer Review Board.
He leaves behind his wife Angela, and many loving family members and friends.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Wednesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
