Lincoln - Agnes V. (Narkewich) Jarzombek, 101, of River Road, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony E. Jarzombek.
Born in South Attleboro, Mass., a daughter of the late Joseph and Walerya (Lipnicka) Narkewich, she had lived in Lincoln since 1952.
Mrs. Jarzombek worked in manufacturing for U.S. Rubber Co, Coats-Clarke Mills, and General Electric before retiring. During World War II, she worked in factories producing airplane propellers and gunsights.
Agnes was an avid gardener, and a member of the Lincoln Garden Club. Many of the plants in the Butterfly Garden at Chase Farm began in her garden. She was a communicant of St. Jude Church, Lincoln, where she taught CCD, was a member of the Women’s Guild and volunteered at the church’s annual Fall Festival.
She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Jarzombek of Providence, and Judy Jarzombek-Lang of Southport, N.C.; two sons, Anthony P. Jarzombek of Lincoln, and Stephen J. Jarzombek of Ashaway; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph Narkewich, Henry Narkewich, Alfred Narkewich, Walter Narkewich, Sr. Mary Virginia, O.S.F. (Stanislawa Narkewich), Bridget Nolin and Viola Slowick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Friday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
