Lincoln - Adrien F, Gagne of Albion passed away peacefully on October 28, 2023, at the age of 93. He was born June 4, 1930, in Albion, Rhode Island, to the late Adelard and Leonide (Des Grandes) Gagne, and was the beloved husband of sixty-six years to his wife, Marie June (Jacques) Gagne.
Adrien served his country with honor and distinction during the Korean War as a proud member of the Army Signal Corps. After completing his military service, he returned to his beloved village of Albion, where he dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his community.
He served as both a member and past-president of the Albion Social Club. Adrien was also a proud member of the Alphonse Yelle Post #9, American Legion in Manville, where he continued to support his fellow veterans. He was a lifelong communicant of Saint Ambrose Church, Albion..
Adrien will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family members, including several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Theodore Gagne, Joseph Gagne, Leonidas "Mike" Gagne, Nazaire Gagne, Emelda Gamache, Cecile Allard, and Rose-Helene Jutras.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Adrien will be laid to rest with military honors at Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Albion. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Thursday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
