Lincoln – Yvette M. (Daneault) Desmarais, 95, of Lincoln and formerly of Albion, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Ambroise J. Desmarais. They were married for 64 years before his death in 2005. Mr. and Mrs. Desmarais celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1990 with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Louis Gelineau, DD at St. Ambrose Church in Albion.
Born in Albion, a daughter of the late Telesphore and Rosalie (Lacombe) Daneault, she had lived in Albion for most of her life before moving to Lincoln Manor in 2007.
Mrs. Desmarais was an assembler for A.T. Cross Company, Lincoln before retiring in 1973. She previously worked at Polytop Company in Slatersville, Rochambeau Mill in Manville and Berkshire-Hathaway Mill in Albion.
She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.
Mrs. Desmarais enjoyed game shows, word search and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her loving son, Andre A. Desmarais of Lincoln; her sister, Lorraine Paradis of Cumberland; nine nieces and five nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul F. Desmarais and the sister of the late Marguerite Lefebvre and Lucien Daneault
Her funeral will be held Monday, July 16 at 9:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Her burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Albion.
