Lincoln – William H. Hanna, Sr., 95, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Dorothy L. (Marcroft) Hanna.
Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Gladys (McCulloch) Hanna, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 72 years.
Mr. Hanna was the owner and used car salesman of the former Hanna Auto Sales in Pawtucket for many years before retiring in 1989.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
An avid boats man, he loved being on the water on his boats, JEBIDO and BIG TROUBLE. He was a former member of the RI Tuna Club.
He is survived by his loving children, Jean L. Hanna-Dunham and her husband William of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and William H. Hanna, Jr. and his wife, Ella of Lincoln; and his beloved grandchildren, Hollis, William and Dillon Hanna.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, May 5 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
