Theresa B. (Crepeau) Cassidy

Cumberland – Theresa B. (Crepeau) Cassidy, 86, of Cumberland passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Cassidy, Jr.

   Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Alma (Bourque) Crepeau, she had lived in Cumberland for the past 62 years.

   Mrs. Cassidy worked in the Admissions Department and later was the Executive Assistant to the President of Woonsocket Hospital (now Landmark Medical Center) for 26 years before retiring.

   She was a member and also served as the Vice Chair of the Visiting Nurse Home Care for 20 years. She also a member of the Board of Directors of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence.

   She was a volunteer at Rhode Island Hospital for 15 years and a member of the Red Hatters.

   She was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland.

   She is survived by one daughter, Colleen M. Carpenter and her husband, Jesse of Cumberland; one son, Gary M. Cassidy and his wife, Deberra of Newport; and three grandsons, Timothy Pedro of Branford, CT, Eric Pedro of Cranston and Kevin Pedro of New York City, NY. She was the sister of the late Arthur H. Crepeau.

   Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 16 at 8:45 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
