Susan M. Flaherty

Lincoln – Susan M. Flaherty, 73, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Francis Gallagher.

   Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Ambrose S. and Kathleen (Gavin) Flaherty, she designed and built the house she has lived in Lincoln for the past 33 years. In her earlier years, Susan was an avid skier, and she spent summers in Dennis, MA with Frank and family.

   Susan was a Certified Financial Planner for Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., Cumberland for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of Bay View Academy and the Georgian Court University in New Jersey. In the 1980's, Susan was a school teacher in the Pawtucket school system.

   Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her stepchildren, Kelly Holzman of Barnstable, MA; Kathleen Dapkas and her husband, Robert of Marshfield, MA; Kevin Gallagher of Hudson, MA; Karen Kowalski and her husband, Michael of King of Prussia, PA; and Christopher Gallagher and his wife, Catherine of Hopkinton, MA; her sister, Kathleen McGowan of Venice, FL; her brother, Martin J. Flaherty of Lincoln; twelve grandchildren; and ten nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stephen J. Flaherty and William A. Flaherty.

   Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 27 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Her burial will be private. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
