North Attleborough – Ruth T. (Mooney) Leite, 73, of Longview Drive, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Leite.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Lyons) Mooney, she had lived in North Attleborough for the past forty-nine years.
Mrs. Leite worked as a secretary at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Faith Alliance Church, Attleboro, where she volunteered in the nursery and regularly attended Bible Study. She loved to travel and go camping, and enjoyed cooking and tending to her garden.
She is survived by two sons, Scott D. McLintock of North Attleborough, and Brian McLintock, and his wife Sue McLintock of Swansea; one stepson, John J. Leite, Jr., and his wife Karen Leite of Cumberland; one brother, Frank Mooney of Seekonk; and two grandchildren, Jared McLintock and Kelsey Leite. She was the sister of the late Mildred Dwyer.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a service at 11:30 a.m. in Faith Alliance Church, 833 Pleasant Street, Attleboro. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Tuesday, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906 would be appreciated.
