Cumberland – Raymond C. Malouin, 59, of Cumberland passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Pelletier) Malouin. Mr. and Mrs. Malouin were happily married for thirty-three years.
Born in Woonsocket a son of the late Germaine (Depot) LaFerriere and the late Alfred Malouin, Raymond grew up in Lincoln and had lived in Cumberland for the past 26 years. He is also survived by his step-father, John LaFerriere of Woonsocket, who Raymond called his own.
He was a truck driver for Tri-Mark United East, Attleboro, MA, where he made many friends. He was a caring, extremely generous man who enjoyed spending time outdoors working, floating in the pool, and being with his two granddaughters. Almost everything that Raymond did in his life was to help others, and he will be remembered for that.
Besides his wife and step-father, he is survived by his two loving children, Joshua K. Malouin and his wife Emily of Burlington, CT, and Jennifer L. Malouin and her boyfriend Jonathan of Scituate; his two beloved granddaughters whom he cherished with all his heart, Hailey and Isabella; his five brothers and their spouses, Robert Malouin (Mary) of Florida, Denis Malouin (Nancy) of Smithfield, Roger Malouin (Margo) of Lincoln, Fernand Malouin of Florida, and Paul Malouin (Jane) of Central Falls; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dog, Toby.
His funeral will be held Monday, December 24 at 8:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
