Cumberland – Normand J. Morrissette, 79, of Fisher Road, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Muriel (Delisle) Morrissette. Mr. & Mrs. Morrissette had been married for forty-nine years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Roger and Eva (Simard) Morrissette, he had lived in Cumberland for the past thirty-six years.
Mr. Morrissette worked as a Data Processor at American Insulated Wire before retiring.
An avid gardener and lace draftsman, he enjoyed making floral arrangements, and had an “eye for design”.
He was a communicant of Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland, and a former member of Council #5876, Knights of Columbus, South Attleboro.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lori Lavallee, and her husband Ned, of Foxboro, MA; one son, Neil Morrissette of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Lauren Lavallee, Anna Lavalle, and Charlie Lavallee. He was the brother of the late Alice Morrissette.
His funeral will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
