Narragansett – Mildred B. (Holden) Dean, 92, of Narragansett passed away peacefully Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Dean.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Ethel (Mellor) Holden, she had lived in Narragansett for over 30 years.
Mrs. Dean was a volunteer and former Sunday School teacher at St. Paul’s Church, Pawtucket. She loved music and golf, and was a former member of Kirkbrae Country Club and Lincoln Country Club, both in Lincoln.
She is survived by her loving children, John S. Dean and his wife, Lynda, and Bradford Dean and his wife, Sandra, all of Cumberland, and Lynn Streich and her fiancé, Stephen Burke of North Kingstown; her beloved eleven grandchildren; her beloved nineteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Florence Berry and Dorothy Ethier.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Her burial will be private in New Fernwood Cemetery, South Kingstown.
