Matthew A. Viegas

Pawtucket – Matthew A. Viegas, 37, of Pawtucket passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 20, 2017 at home. Born in Providence, a son of Debra (Hilton) Massei and the stepson of James P. Massei, both of Pawtucket and the late Anthony G. Viegas, he had lived in Pawtucket and Cumberland all of his life.

   Matthew enjoyed music, cooking, traveling and working out. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Skylah Lee Viegas.

   He was a 1998 graduate of Tolman High School.

   Besides his mother, stepfather and daughter, he is survived by his stepbrother, James D. Massei and his two close nieces, Mercedes and Cameri Massei, all of Pawtucket; his maternal grandmother, Elvira Viegas, and his aunt and uncle, Vasco and Fernanda Vargas, all of Cumberland.

   His funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
