North Smithfield – Marcia C. (McCormick) Plante, 84, of North Smithfield and formerly of Lincoln, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 29, 2018 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Henry G. and Anna C. (Roske) McCormick, she had lived in Lincoln for most of her life before moving to North Smithfield 8 months ago.
Mrs. Plante was an elementary school teacher in the North Providence School District and also taught at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton School in Central Falls before retiring.
Mrs. Plante was a member of the Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus and the Red Hatters.
She is survived by her loving children, Leeann F. Sperduti and her husband, Peter of East Greenwich, Mary M. Beauchemin and her husband, William of Lincoln, and Thomas G. Plante and his wife, Lori of Menlo Park, CA; and her beloved grandchildren, Sam and Bianca Sperduti of East Greenwich, Zachary Plante of Menlo Park, CA, and Casie and Tommy Beauchemin of Lincoln.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 3 at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
