Glocester – Lois R. (Gundlach) Lees, 71, of Chepachet passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Frederick C. “Rick” Lees, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Lees celebrated their 52nd anniversary this past October 1st.
Born in Salem, MA, a daughter of the late Rev. Russell E. and Mary E. (Brown) Gundlach, she had lived in Chepachet for the past 30 years.
Lois was a paralegal and legal secretary for several law firms in Providence before retiring. Lois had also worked at the VA Hospital in Providence for several years.
She was an accomplished pianist and a former Director of Music at the former St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Providence and the former St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Pawtucket.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two loving daughters, Faith D. Helm and her husband, Michael of South Kingstown, and Sherri Anne Collins and her husband, Sean of Chepachet; one brother, Rev. Russell E. Gundlach of Waterford, CT; her beloved granddaughter, Madalynn Sands; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, April 23 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Her burial will be private.
