Cumberland – Lois B. (Dormire) Conboy, 84, formerly of Plantation Drive, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Glenn Minnetonka. She was the beloved wife of Rev. Thomas F. Conboy, Jr.
Born in Dayton, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Ivan and Mary (Stockdale) Dormire, she had lived in Western Pennsylvania, and in Cumberland for forty-five years, moving to Minnetonka, Minnesota one year ago.
Mrs. Conboy was a school teacher in the Moon Township (PA) and Cumberland School Districts, retiring in 1999.
She was a member and organist at Calvin Presbyterian Church, Cumberland; and an organist at Christ Church, Lincoln, and the Community Church of Providence. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists, Rhode Island Chapter, and an officer of the Presbyterian Women’s Society. She was a graduate of California University (Pa.).
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Thomas F. Conboy III, and his wife Karen; two grandsons, Thomas F. Conboy IV, and his wife Sarah, and Kevin Conboy; two great grandchildren, Thomas F. Conboy V and Anna Sophia Conboy, all of Minnesota; and one sister Fern Held of South Carolina . She was the sister of the late Helen Clark, Carl Dormire and Carolyn Ulrich.
Her funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Calvin Presbyterian Church, 126 Angell Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Friday at Calvin Presbyterian Church from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Private burial will take place in the Stearns Memorial Section of Arnold Mills Cemetery, Cumberland.
