Lincoln – John E. Latimer, 94, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Dearman) Latimer.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Henry and Amelia (Rhodes) Latimer, he had lived in Lincoln for over 50 years.
Mr. Latimer was a textile worker for the former Sayles Finishing Plant, Lincoln and was later a warehouseman for Globe Distribution, Lincoln before retiring.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Saylesville Post, American Legion.
He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He is survived by three daughters, Judith Latimer of North Kingstown, Deborah Latimer of Cumberland, and Susan Latimer Powers and her husband, Glenn of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Latimer.
His funeral will be held Saturday, October 14 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
