Lincoln – Florence R. (Charpentier) Croteau, 89, of Franklin Street, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Aime Croteau.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lucina (Richard) Charpentier, she had lived in Central Falls for many years, moving to Lincoln in 1988.
Mrs. Croteau worked as a jewelry plater for the former Liberty Plating Co. before retiring.
She was a great cook, and especially enjoyed baking, as well as spending time with her family, and doting on her great grandchildren. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church, Central Falls.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Glasscock of Arlington, Tennessee; two sons, Ronald E. Croteau of Lincoln, and Daniel R. Croteau of Fall River, Massachusetts; her sister-in-law, Loretta Charpentier of Pawtucket; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael Croteau; the grandmother of the late Michael Croteau; and the sister of the late Irene Poisson, Alice Mathurin, Alfred Charpentier, Yvonne Boucher, Wilfred Charpentier, Gerard Charpentier, Leo Charpentier and George Charpentier.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
