Elson Perez

Smithfield – Elson Perez, 83, of Smithfield passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne E. (Paull) Perez.

   Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Antonio and Esperanza (Perez) Perez, he had lived in Pawtucket for most of his life before moving to Smithfield 15 years ago.

   Mr. Perez was a shipper and receiver for Mason Manufacturing Company, East Providence and later, he was a machinist at Grinnell Corporation before retiring.

   He is survived by his loving children, Donna Bennett and her husband, David of Lincoln, and Ronald S. Perez and his wife, Lynda of Smithfield; his beloved grandchildren, Michael Kerr, Jack Bennett and Madison Perez; and several nieces and nephews.

   His prayer service will be held Saturday at 1 P.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. His burial will be private.

   Relatives and friends are invited and may call Saturday from 12-1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Perez’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
