Joan
I just heard about your mom's recent passing. The video was delightful and brought back many memories of our parents, their friendship, and days gone by. My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of a very lovely person.

End of an era. Doris must be one of the last members of the Golden Circle. What a powerhouse of goodness and friendship. And, what a wonderful way for me and many other young clerics to begin their ministry.. Your Mother and Dad were such a part of what made Saint Paul's great and supported men like me and pointed us in the right direction, Peace, Joy and Thanks to them in helping to mold my life and ministry. Please accept our sincere sympathy on the passing of your precious Mom/ Nana. She was such a lovely lady. Our favorite memories will always be of Mr. and Mrs. Entwistle mixing and mingling at family parties, cookouts and weddings! They were a beautiful couple and now they are together again. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers . The continued love of Nana and Poppa will keep you strong. God's blessings always. Love, Kathy and Norm

My heart and deepest sympathies to Doris's family during this difficult time. Nothing I personally can say or do to ease your pain. But I found Phillipians  4:6,7 may helps because we encouraged to turn to God in prayer and He will give you peace and understanding. I really hope the scriptures help and strengthen you as you endure  this difficult time.

Our sincere condolences to the Crooks and Entwistle family and friends. Due to the fact that God loves and cares for us, especially when we are going through the pain of loosing a loved one, he inspired words of comfort and hope. These words can be found in The Holy Scriptures. Psalm 34:18 reads: "Jehovah is close to the broken-hearted, he saves those who are crushed in spirit". Jesus said in John 5:28: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". The wonderful hope of a resurrection and being able to see our loved ones again in the near future, can give us a great measure of consolation. Psalm 94:19 also reads: "When anxieties overwhelmed me, You comforted and soothed me". We pray that the God of all comfort and tender mercies soothe your hearts with his loving care during this very difficult and painful time.
Sincerely, Maggie Catalano/jw.org

I remember fondly when I was 7 or 8 years old visiting with this lovely woman. She was warm, creative and loving. I was a neighbor and I thought she was the most wonderful person in the world. And she was. I will say a special prayer for your family this morning at my church.

To the family of Doris Entwistle, I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. E was a very loving and kind lady and she will be sincerely missed by many. As you know, her family was her joy. She had a big heart! She often signed her cards, "Arms Around." I will miss her, too. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
