Pawtucket – Doris T. (Houle) Duarte, 87, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Therrian.
Born in Dudley, MA, a daughter of the late Emile and Minnie (Morin) Houle, she had lived in Pawtucket for the past 57 years.
Mrs. Duarte was a weaver in the textile industry for many years working for several companies including the former Health-Tex, Inc., Cumberland before retiring in 1993.
She love bingo, crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Labossiere of Smithfield and Lisa Pierce of North Providence; two sons, Mark E. Duarte of Woonsocket and Bruce Duarte of Pawtucket; three sisters, Rose Harrison of New York, Jeanne Houle of Warwick and Annette Scaramuzzi of East Greenwich; three brothers, Ronald and Peter Houle, both of Pascoag, and Gerard Houle of Pawtucket; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Karl Fitzgerald, and the sister of the late Emile Houle, Raymond Houle, John Houle, Phillip Houle, Paul Houle, Irene Lawton and Robert Houle.
Relatives and friends may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Wednesday from 8 A.M. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Her burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
