Lincoln – Doreen M. (Desrosiers) Chudy, 72, of Albion passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at home with her beloved husband, Ronald W. Chudy, at her side. They were married for 52 wonderful years.
Born in Woonsocket, on May 15, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Martha A. (Hall) Desrosiers and had lived in Albion for the past 40 years.
Doreen graduated from Woonsocket High School and graduated from the School of Medical and Legal Sciences, Providence and had attended Dean Junior College, Franklin, MA.
She worked for Miller Electric Co. in Woonsocket for over 30 years and for The Miriam Hospital at the 195 Collyer Street office, her extended family for 15 years.
With her husband, they owned and operated The Little Red Hideaway Gift Shop in Slatersville and Chudy’s Photography in Albion.
Besides her beloved husband, she leaves her brothers: Arthur E. Desrosiers, Jr. and his wife Joan of Killingly, CT and Anthony Desrosiers of Woonsocket; her sisters, Melody Chevrette and her husband Gene of Woonsocket, Marcia Poulin and her husband Roger of Bellingham, MA, Dawn Gravel and her husband Raymond of Woonsocket, Mona Pacheco and her husband George of Shalimar, FL and Muriel June Slaney of Onset, MA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, William Desrosiers and David Desrosiers, and three sisters, Martha Leggett, Theresa Baillargeon and Cecile Ducharme.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, August 11 at 8:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
