Lincoln – Donald A. Ledoux, 83, of Pleasant Street, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Claire (Jacques) Ledoux. Mr. & Mrs. Ledoux recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Albert and Liliane (Cote) Ledoux, he had lived in Pawtucket for many years, before moving to Lincoln over four years ago.
Mr. Ledoux worked as an oil burner technician for various oil companies, and as a maintenance worker at Providence Braid Co. and Josten’s, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed working on houses and remodeling, especially for his children. He was a “MacGuyver” who could fix or build anything.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Blais of Burrillville, and Renee Dell of Burrillville; three sons, Marc Ledoux of North Kingstown, Joel Ledoux of Seekonk, Massachusetts, and Albert Ledoux of Cumberland; one sister, Louise Ledoux of Pawtucket; two brothers, Bertrand Ledoux of Pawtucket, and Normand Ledoux of Ridgecrest, California; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Delores Gregoire, Richard Ledoux, Cecile Ledoux and Roger Ledoux.
His funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of R.I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904 would be appreciated.
