Coventry – Diane Anahid (Killerjian) Chopy, 47, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Alan D. Chopy and the loving mother of Joshua and Lauren Chopy. Diane and Alan just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on May 17.
Born in Providence, a loving daughter of Anahid (Satchaklian) Killerjian of Cranston and the late John H. Killerjian, she had lived in Cranston before moving to Coventry 21 years ago.
Diane was a caregiver for All Is Well Homecare in Warwick for the past 5 years. She had previously worked at the Providence Journal and Citizens Bank. She received her Associate’s Degree from CCRI and also attended RIC.
She was a lifelong member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence.
Besides her husband, children and mother, she is survived by her two beloved sisters, Karen A. Minassian and her husband, David, and Leslie E. Varin and her husband, Michael, all of Cranston; her loving in-laws, J. Norman and Hope Chopy of Narragansett; and her brother-in-law, David E. Chopy of East Providence. She was the proud aunt of Rachael, Carrie, John and Matthew and leaves many loving friends.
Diane’s contagious smile and gentle heart touched the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 2 at 9:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with Services at 11 A.M. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
