Lincoln – Daniel A. Ryfa, 63, of Old River Road, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Robin M. (Trottier) Ryfa. Mr. & Mrs. Ryfa had been married for forty-two years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph P. Ryfa, Jr. and Mildred M. (Haskell) Ryfa, he had lived in Lincoln for the past thirty-one years.
Mr. Ryfa was a registered nurse at the former Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island before retiring. He had previously worked as a diesel mechanic for Pascale Trucking.
He volunteered for many years as a minor league coach in Central Falls; loved carpentry and woodworking, and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens; but most importantly, he enjoyed helping others.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Michaela M. Mancinho, and her husband Jeffrey, of Lincoln; one son, Aaron D. Ryfa, and his wife Stacyann, of Cumberland; one sister, Mary E. Lefebvre of Cumberland; four brothers, Joseph P. Ryfa III of Johnston, Michael D. Ryfa of Smithfield, David P. Ryfa of West Warwick, and Erik S. Ryfa of Cumberland; and three cherished grandchildren, Jack Mancinho, Jace Mancinho and Lilly Ryfa.
His funeral service will be celebrated Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His burial will be private.
