Christine M. (McKenna) Marcelo

Pawtucket – Christine M. (McKenna) Marcelo, 57, of Bloomfield Street, died Monday, June 11, 2018, at home.  She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas Marcelo 

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Charles V. McKenna and Mary (Jowett) McKenna-Cavallaro, and step-daughter of the late Mario Cavallaro, she had lived in Pawtucket for the past twenty-five years.

Mrs. Marcelo had worked as a case worker for the Department of Children, Youth and Families, and for the Department of Human Services Office of Rehabilitation Services, assisting visually impaired children.

She was a graduate of Rhode Island College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

She is survived by two sisters, Donna M. Ertl of Lincoln, and Gail A. McKenna of Warwick; three brothers, Michael K. McKenna of Cranston, Robert J. McKenna of Delray, West Virginia, and Paul S. McKenna of Lincoln; and her eleven nieces and nephews, Jill, Mark, Paul, Janelle, Monica, Katie, David, Meredith, Derrick, Ashley and Amber.  She was the sister of the late Charles V. McKenna, Jr.

Her funeral will be celebrated Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Heart Association, P.O.
