Annette A. (Desrosiers) Owen
October 2, 1948 ~ October 20, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years OldLincoln – Annette A. (Desrosiers) Owen, 69, died Friday, October 20, 2017, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Donald Owen. Mr. & Mrs. Owen had been married for fifty-years.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Eloi and Jeannette (Bertrand) Desrosiers, she had lived in Lincoln for the past thirty-five years.
Mrs. Owen was a Special Education Teacher’s Aide for the Central Falls School Department, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Local 94, AFSCME, where she was a shop steward; and was a member and former treasurer of T.O.P.S., Chapter# 28. She was an avid traveler.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Brenda Owen of Lincoln; one son, Richard Owen of Engers, Germany; two sisters, Suzanne Beaudoin of Richmond, Virginia, and Charlotte Markey of Richmond, R.I.; one brother, Marcel Desrosiers of Seekonk, Massachusetts; and her beloved grandson, Alexander Owen. She was the sister of the late Raymond Desrosiers and Cecille Owen.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
