Lincoln – Andrew E. Q. Robertson, Jr., 83, of Franklin Street, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Sproul) Robertson. Mr. & Mrs. Robertson had been married for sixty-two years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Andrew E. Q. and Grace (Soder) Robertson, he had lived in Lincoln for most of his life.
Mr. Robertson worked as a welder for the former A. Greenhalgh Co. and as a maintenance technician at Electrolyzing, retiring in 1997. After retiring, he drove a school bus for disabled children for the Lincoln School System.
He was an avid saltwater fisherman, enjoying fishing on Narragansett Bay and in Weekapaug. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 -1956.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Susan E. Kane, and her husband Michael, of Warwick; two sons, Douglas S. Robertson, and his wife Sammi, of North Attleborough, Massachusetts, and Scott A. Robertson of Smithfield; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Garrels, and her husband Brent, Samantha Fazzio, Alicia Marganti, Ashley Robertson, Rachel Robertson, Bailey Robertson and Spencer Robertson; five great grandchildren, Kylee Fazzio, Georgie Garrels, Kaiden Albro, Bernadette Garrels, and Ryan Albro. He was the brother of the late Charles M. “Skip” Robertson and Helen E. Robertson.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Monday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Bailey’s Team for Autism, 164 Westside Avenue, North Attleborough, MA 02760 would be appreciated.
