Life Legacy


Lincoln – William “Budd” Shulver, 91, of Carriage Drive died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Miles) Shulver. Mr. and Mrs. Shulver were married June 22, 1957.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Louis and Bertha (Schora) Shulver, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 56 years.
Mr. Shulver was a quality control manager for Owens-Corning Fiberglas and later for Carol Cable before retiring. He was a lifetime member of the International Wire Association.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and served on the USS Yorktown and the USS Pocomoka.
He enjoyed boating and skiing and was a ski instructor at King Pine Ski Area in New Hampshire for over 30 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Armstrong and her husband, John of Narragansett, and Kimberly Bryant and her husband, George of Freedom, NH; his granddaughter, Elisabeth Armstrong of Narragansett; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Herbert Shulver, Pearl Shulver, Ruth Wolstencroft, Edna Renfrew and Barbara Matoian.
His Requiem Eucharist will be held FRIDAY, APRIL 26 at 11 A.M. in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 670 Weeden Street. Pawtucket. Burial, with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
