I heard about her passing at Church (AMUMC) on Sunday.

She was a great lady. I met her when I first joined Church about 15 years ago. I had many questions and she was always so patient and kind. Thank you so much for posting the picture.

Virgina Ziegler will always stay in my heart with memories of that grandmotherly smile she had for all of us, be it in the school library or at Ziegler family functions. I first knew her as my BFF's 'Grandma", then as "boss" when Kris and I worked during school hours for her at the middle school library. (She knew my love of books would draw me in, and I learned the importance of the Dewey Decimal System for keeping things in order.)

She really was an amazing woman, binding her family together with love and strength. And, always with that smile on her face. She had a great sense of humor and just enjoyed the little things in life. Isn't that what life is all about?

That smile, and this woman will be missed, and if there is a library in heaven, I am sure she will have it ready for all of us and greet us at the gates with that smile. I look forward to finally having time to read every book on Grandma's shelves when I get there, and maybe have a cup of coffee together and catch up on old times. That hope will make me smile for a while.

Love to all the Bowdens and Zieglers., ~Michelle
