Lincoln – Terrence F. Hannaway, 67, of Lincoln passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Janice T. (Kiczak) Hannaway. Mr. and Mrs. Hannaway were married 45 years.

   Born in Providence, a son of the late Terrence E. and Margaret (Kelly) Hannaway, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 31 years.

   Mr. Hannaway was a Math Teacher at Park View Middle School, Cranston for 35 years before retiring in 2005. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy, Pawtucket and Rhode Island College. He was a member of the Cranston Teachers Alliance.

   An avid tennis player, he was a member of Fore Court in Cumberland over 40 years, playing on many levels including District Championships and New England Championships.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by his five loving children, Sarah Samolinski and her husband, Jason of Blackstone, MA; Laura Hannaway of Lincoln; Terrence T. Hannaway of Braintree, MA; USMC Sgt. Major Paul J. Hannaway and his wife, Cheryll of Branford, CT; and Andrew T. Hannaway and his wife, Heather of Cumberland; two sisters, Joan Harpin and Maureen Hannaway, both of Lincoln; his seven beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Trinity, Faith, Paul, Grace, Hannah and Noah; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Kevin and Keith Hannaway.

   His funeral will be held Monday, May 22 at 8:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Historic St. Joseph’s Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
