Rose M. (Fielding) Seguin

Cumberland – Rose M. (Fielding) Seguin, 90, formerly of Greenville and Cumberland, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Hallworth House, Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late Oscar Seguin.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harold C. and Rose B. (Wunschel) Fielding, she had lived in Greenville and Cumberland for many years, before moving to Providence three years ago.

Mrs. Seguin worked as bookkeeper at the former Star Wallpaper, and at Aro-Sac, Inc., Johnston, retiring in 2012.  She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church, Woonsocket, where she served as a vestrywoman and as a board member of the church’s Nightingale Fund.

She is survived by one daughter, Deirdre Seguin Spadazzi, and her husband David, of Chepachet; and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Kenneth Fielding, John Fielding, Harold Fielding, Ruth Pinto, and Jean Robbins.

A Requiem Eucharist will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 249 Danielson Pike, North Scituate.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and her burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Hallworth House, 66 Benefit Street, Providence, R.I. 02904 would be appreciated.  Arrangements with Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
