Woonsocket – Patrick J. Egerton, 34, of Bernon Street, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 16, 2018, at home.
Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of John Egerton of North Smithfield and Margaret “Peg” Shaw of North Kingstown, and stepson of Karen Egerton.
Patrick grew up in Lincoln and North Smithfield, and had attended North Smithfield High School. He had worked in the Wood Dept. at Ecological Fibers, Pawtucket.
He loved spending time outdoors fishing, snowboarding and camping, and spending time in Maine. He also enjoyed playing his guitar.
Besides his parents and stepmother, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, Robert Egerton of Cumberland; and two step-brothers, Steven Guilmette of Burrillville and Christopher Guilmette of Smithfield; and many aunts and uncles. He was a loving uncle to several nieces and nephews, and leaves several cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lester and Lillian Shaw, formerly of Lincoln, and his paternal grandmother, Caroline Egerton, formerly of Cumberland.
A Prayer Service will be celebrated Friday, March 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His burial will be private.
