Lt. Col. Paula Lacombe Obituary

Blythewood, South Carolina – Lieutenant Colonel Paula Simonne Lacombe, US Army, age 52, of Blythewood, died Saturday, January 20, 2018.  She was the the daughter of Ernest Albert and Simonne Lamontagne Lacombe of Lincoln, and the legal partner of Brandy Mikkalina Sadler Lacombe.

Paula was a graduate of the Army’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program, followed by a Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska. She proudly served her country for 34 years.  She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1983.

Her zest for life was palpable to all, and will be ever apparent in the memories we hold.

In addition to her parents and legal partner, she is survived by her former husband David Kwasniewski; her son Kyle Benjamin Kwasniewski; her sister, Eileen Lacombe; her brother, Neal Lacombe; and two step-daughters, Hanna and Madisen Larimore. She was the sister of the late Alan Lacombe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln.  Military Honors will follow.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to The GCS Project, 2795 Estates Drive, Park City, Utah 84060, would be appreciated.
