I met John years ago when he was involved in the investigation on a fraudulent insurance claim that was made to the company I worked for. We spent most of the day together interviewing a witness. I found John to be very knowledgeable and professional in his approach. It was only afterward when we went to dinner with the other investigators that I realized he was from Old Forge and knew my mother growing up and was good friends with my Aunt and Uncle Nora and Moe Martin of Old Forge. John did stay in touch periodically over the years until he retired and I always appreciated his contact. I know my Aunt and Uncle considered him a good friend and would want me to pass on their condolences

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing, but he is now at peace and with the love of his life Marilyn. Your folks were our favorite friends , watching you kids grow up and Mike giving Hilda fits! Lots of great memories. To say nothing of the great NYSP memories !

My sincere condolence to all the Denio family. I worked with John for many years out of SP/Loundville, NY and as he rides his final patrol you should know ,he was a good man who always had your back. He was a honorable hard working cop who always got the job done. He was a fellow you could count on no matter what. I'm sure he will rest in peace.
