Burrillville - David A. Jannarelli, 62, of Harrisville passed away peacefully Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Burns) Jannarelli.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Wegiel) Jannarelli, he had lived in Lincoln for 5 years before moving to Burrillville 17 years ago.
David was a program analyst for the former American Insulated Wire Company, now Leviton Manufacturing Company, before retiring in 2009.
David was an active Mason. He was a member of the former Nathanael Greene Lodge #45, F. & A.M., Warwick, the former Union Lodge #10, F. & A.M., Pawtucket, Lafayette Lodge #47, F. & A.M., Cumberland and Jenks Lodge #24, Pawtucket. He served as Worshipful Master of Union Lodge #10, F. & A.M. in 1978, 1988 and 1997, and served as Worshipful Master of Lafayette Lodge #47 in 2000. He served as Grand Marshall for the Rhode Island Grand Lodge of Freemasons in 1999. He was a member of Pawtucket Royal Arch Chapter #4, RSM where he was Excellent High Priest in 1997, 2003 and 2007, and was the Most Excellent Grand High Priest 2009-2011. He was greeted to the degree of Select Master in 1995, was Illustrious Master of Pawtucket Council #2 in 2000, 2006 and 2011, and was Right Illustrious Deputy Grand Master 2016-2018. He was a member of What Cheer York Rite Lodge #43. He was knighted in 1999 and was a member of Holy Sepulchre Commandery #8, KT. He was also a member of Gaspee Order #99, Swords of Bunker Hill. He was a former member of the Rhode Island Shrine where he was a former Shrine Clown “Jelly Bean”.
He was a member and Past Patron of the former Queen Esther Chapter #2, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Woonsocket Chapter #3, Order of the Eastern Star.
David was also a priest in the Reformed Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Danielle Vickers of North Smithfield and Sara Hawkins of Harrisville; one sister, Linda Anderson of Millbury, MA; one brother, Thomas Jannarelli of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joshua D. Jannarelli.
On Friday, April 6, an Eastern Star Service at 6:30 P.M. followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 P.M. for David will be held at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. His funeral service will be held Saturday, April 7 at 1 P.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private.
