Lincoln – Carolyn M. (Harris) Spencer, 88, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Spencer.

   Born in Elwood, IN, a daughter of the late Robert and Lora Alice (Frye) Harris, she had lived in Lincoln for over 70 years.

   Mrs. Spencer was an architectural designer for many years before retiring. She was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She also worked at Lincoln Gardens, Lincoln for 20 years. She was a freelance artist.

   She loved to ride horses and was a member and past president of Moswansicut Riding & Driving Club, Scituate and the Cross State Trail Riding Club.

   She was a longtime member of Chapel Street Congregational Church, Lincoln.

   She is survived by one daughter, Gail L. Boisvert and her husband, David of Acton, ME; two sons, John Spencer and his wife, Adela of Fort Collins, CO and Alan Spencer and his wife, Amy of Delaware, OH; one sister, Roberta Brown of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Rachel List of Delaware, OH, Anna Spencer of Columbus, OH, Chris Boisvert of Buxton, ME, Colin Boisvert of Acton, ME, Philip Spencer of Fort Collins, CO and Lauren Spencer of Aurora, CO; one great grandson, William A. List of Delaware, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Helbig.

   Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 25 at 11 A.M. in Chapel Street Congregational Church, 185 Chapel Street, Lincoln. Her burial will be private.
